Ask my notes

Upload your lecture notes, PDF chapters or slides and ask questions about them. Answers are drawn from the document you selected, so you can check a definition, clarify a confusing paragraph or summarise a section without hunting through 60 pages.

What you get

  • Answers grounded in the document you picked from your library
  • Chat history kept per document so you can pick a topic back up
  • Explain This: highlight any line in your AI notes for a plain-English explanation
  • Works with PDF, DOCX, PPTX, TXT and Markdown material
  • Documents can be organised by subject in your library
  • Included with Premium

How to study from PDF notes

Long PDF readings are hard to revise from because there is no structure to test yourself against. A practical order is: skim for structure, generate notes, then ask questions about the parts that still do not make sense.

  • Upload the PDF once — it is stored in your library for reuse.
  • Generate AI study notes to get headings, key terms and summaries.
  • Highlight anything unclear and use Explain This on it.
  • Ask follow-up questions about the section rather than re-reading the whole file.
  • Finish with a flashcard deck or practice test on the same document.

What it will and will not do

Ask My Notes answers from the material you uploaded. If something is not in your document, it will say so rather than invent detail. It is a study aid, not a substitute for your lecturer's guidance, and answers should be checked against your course material.

Keeping your library organised

Group documents by subject or module so the right material is one click away during revision. Anything you generate from a document stays linked to it in your study history.
