  • Choose how many cards you want and generate the deck.
  • Study it straight away in flip mode, or switch to quiz mode to be scored.

How to make effective flashcards

Good flashcards test one idea at a time. When you review a generated deck, split any card that asks two things, and rewrite answers into your own words — the act of rewording is itself revision.

  • One fact, definition or step per card.
  • Ask a real question on the front rather than showing a bare keyword.
  • Keep answers short enough to recall in a few seconds.
  • Add cards for the things you keep getting wrong, not the things you already know.
  • Review in short sessions spread over days rather than one long cram.

Spaced repetition without an app

Review a new deck the same day, again after two days, then after a week. Each time, only re-test the cards you missed last round. Pair it with the study timer to keep sessions short and focused.
