How to use the GPA calculator

  1. Choose the 4.0 or 5.0 scale used by your institution.
  2. Add one row per subject with its name, credits and letter grade.
  3. Your GPA, total credits and grade breakdown update as you type.

Worked example

Biology (4 credits, A = 4.0), Statistics (3 credits, B = 3.0) and Ethics (2 credits, B+ = 3.3) gives quality points of 16 + 9 + 6.6 = 31.6 over 9 credits, so the GPA is 31.6 ÷ 9 = 3.51.
